Kyle Lapidus b. 1975 New York Lives and works in New York
Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus have been working collaboratively as the New York-based artist duo LoVid since 2001. LoVid’s work incorporates media and material to engage a wide range of techniques and processes, nagivating between the handmade and the machine-produced, and highlighting the challenges and possibilities of the networked age. LoVid's work has been exhibited, performed, screened, and presented internationally at venues including Expanded.Art, Wave Hill, Brookfield Arts, RYAN LEE Gallery, Postmasters Gallery, And/Or Gallery, Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, Real Art Ways, Good Children Gallery, Smack Mellon, as well as in a number of group shows, including at bitforms Gallery, Honor Fraser Gallery, and BRIC. Hinkis graduated from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts Paris and Lapidus graduated from Harvard University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. LoVid has also spoken at a range of institutions, including Stony Brook University, University of Maryland, Brown University, Pratt Institute, and Goldsmiths College.
