The Museum of Art + Light Celebrates the AB500

EMULATION: Selections from the Art Blocks 500 opens March 4, 2026 at the Museum of Art + Light (MoA+L). The exhibition will present twelve projects by ten Art Blocks 500 artists across the categories of Curated, Presents, Factory, and Collaborations.
Focusing on the concept of “emulation” as a means to build on what has come before, the exhibition showcases creative code as a pathway toward innovation and transformation in art, carrying a thread from past to present.
"EMULATION highlights artists who are using code not as a novelty, but as a deeply intentional medium—one capable of carrying history, emotion, and experimentation forward in meaningful ways.” -Erin Dragotto, Executive Director, MoA+L
During the museum's celebratory gala on May 2, 2026, EMULATION will be on view alongside the immersive exhibition, Picasso: Art in Motion.
EMULATION runs from March 4 to August 16, 2026.
MoA+L, on a mission to "bridge 21st-century technology with the visual and performing arts," was established in 2021 as the first museum of its kind, blending immersive multi-sensory, digital, and physical experiences to engage visitors in the artistic process.
